A hard overnight frost…

soon melted in the warm sun. The day was then lovely , just right for walking, sun, warmth, and autumn  colours.
Going up the ridge through the woods, this is the first view of the Cairngorms, where the cloud covered the tops and it was not as pleasant as here.
Four Black Darters were still active on the descent and a Tortoiseshell butterfly appeared in the garden!
