Tree Trimming
Yesterday when we came home from Cambridge a man was cutting back the verge on the opposite side of the lane to our home. My husband went out and asked if he was able to trim ours at the same time. Today's picture shows the Wisteria and Leylandii to the north of the property where he was able to cut them back a little. I will photography the northern view for tomorrow's blip; it is much more dramatic.
We are in the process of trying to find a reliable tree surgeon as the Leylandii are out of control. As well as the Leylandii, there are also some larger shrubs that need cutting back. The fruit trees in the orchard, to the south need pruning and have to be done between the fruit coming off and before the birds start nesting next year. I suspect that we will have to have the two ends done at different times.
Today has been a funny sort of day where I did some sorting out, but was hampered by workmen sorting out an electrical fault. It seems it is a bigger problem than we thought; work will continue next week. I did manage to sort out various knitting and crochet projects. I have enough granny squares to make a full sized bed cover; it just needs crocheting together. I also have at least five other project on the go, so really need to finish some of them.
The temperature at GMT today was fourteen degrees Celsius.
