2021 Wednesday — Thank You
We received this meaningful note in our mailbox today. Our granddaughter, Ashly, always sends a “Thank You” when we gift her on her birthday or some other occasion. I think sending a “Thank You” has become a lost art. Our other granddaughter, Desiree, well I have to send her reminders when I have mailed her something to go check her mailbox, and she never writes a handwritten “Thank You” note. She sends us a text. Our grandson, Emerson, never acknowledges receiving what we send and never responds with a “Thank You.” They are each one so very different from the other; unique and precious.
Today we packed-up the pups and did a mini-field trip to San Luis Obispo; it is a great big 20-minute drive, but we seldom leave the coast. I had several stores I wanted to go to. I’m planning to decorate for autumn. I have already started by lining the outside stairs to the front door with pumpkins; so, I want to add to that with autumn garland wrapped around the handrail and possibly a potted chrysanthemum or two on the steps. While in SLO we also stopped at French Park so we could walk the pups. It was a productive and successful outing.
When we got back home in the late afternoon, I made a big pot of chicken vegetable soup. It was delicious and will provide us with meals for several days.
Wednesday evenings are always dedicated to attending Calvary Chapel Chino Hills online. Their large auditorium was packed with people and there were 1.5k people watching online attendees. Their webaddress is Calvarycch.org
Good night
