Market Day
Thursday is Market Day in Fakenham and the whole town is heaving with people and all the car parks are full. It always surprises me because the market is nothing special although the stall selling model railway equipment ( engines and carriages but also buildings trees grass and passengers) did attract me but only because it was so unexpected.
Market Day is also Fakenham Auction Day but don't be fooled into thinking its Sotheby's because its not. The blip covers several lots, including the silvered stags head tealight holder. Lot 58 was five boxes of assorted CD's and videos whilst Lot 59 was four boxes of household goods (unspecified). I was asking myself why anyone would want to buy these things when I saw Lot 64, four boxes of used terracotta flowerpots, assorted sizes and then I understood.
I could not stay to buy them but maybe I will return on a future Thursday, with a role of five pond notes in my pocket, to carry out further research
