Bitless

Yesterday when I rode Jeepers, his bit broke in half soon after I mounted. Thankfully not whilst flying over jumps! 

A friend commented that I should try bitless... Which I had done previously but never found a style that worked for us and I'd totally forgotten that we ever even tried it.

I remembered that he was more comfortable bitless but steering and stopping was a bit of a battle.

Today, I cobbled together a hackamore... Pretty much the only style I'd not tried. It's a bit missmatchy matchy but... Steering seemed better and braking wasn't toooo bad compared to previous bitless styles. It also confirmed that yes, he is MUCH more comfortable bitless. We even popped some jumps back at the field.
