I picked Eben up from school today and we had a companionable walk back to his house in the light but persistent rain. He told me about today's science work: examining materials to determine whether they were opaque or transparent, in one case; and whether they were waterproof or not in another. He got a 'green card' today: a reward for good work. He seems very contented to be back into the normal routine.
