Endings and beginnings

This morning was grey and cool.  We had morning coffee outside and bemoaned how strange the weather has been this year.  An hour later the sun was shining and we had to move into the shade!  We did a lot of gardening today.  The cherry trees have ended their year and have lost nearly all their leaves (main).  But they have set new buds already in preparation for next spring (extra),
