Château d'Écouen

Today our Parisian friends Annick and Thierry took us on an hour's jaunt to the north, to the Château d'Écouen, which houses France's National Museum of the Renaissance.  Its impressive collection  is especially strong in  tapestries.  We enjoyed a very good lunch in its restaurant. On the drive back I was struck by the very modern building in the extra.  Altogether  an informative and enjoyable day.
