Snowy Birmingham

Birmingham week nine. This is my last week in the Hotel Indigo and in many ways I am pleased about that. Don't get me wrong the rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable but after several weeks you start to see the flaws beneath the veneer.

Yesterday evening, given the underfoot conditions in Birmingham and the bitingly cold wind, I thought I would eat in the lounge bar attached to Marco Pierre Whites restaurant. Despite only wanting a simple burger they did not have any. This is not first time I have been disappointed by the restaurant.

Today when I went for my shower it was only then that I realised that there were no toiletries in the room. Luckily my LUSH shampoo bar doubles as shower soap, but these little annoyances detract from the hotel experience.
