Flower Mandala

I love mandalas, both in nature and as an expression of spirit and the sacred. I saw today that the Rubin Museum of New York is holding a Mandala Lab for the month of October
Rooted in Buddhism I was interested in the Vairochana mandala and it’s use of colours to illustrate the transforming of difficult emotions - pride, attachment, envy, anger, ignorance into what are called ‘wisdoms’
I enjoyed making this simple flower mandala from garden flowers after reading about it
A little more information below if you are interested
South, yellow, element earth, transforms pride into sameness (we are all one)
West, red, element fire transforms the delusion of attachment into discernment
North, green, element air transforms envy into right action
East, blue, element water transforms anger into calm
Centre, white, dissipation of confusion - a near unattainable state
Lots to work on there then! but green is the colour speaking to me right now. Perhaps a colour speaks to you
Have a lovely weekend all
