Happy October

That happened fast! October is typically a busy outdoor month for us. Prepping the garden for winter, removing flowers from pots, pulling up remaining cooler weather veggie plants, cutting back perennials, planting bulbs, putting lawn doodads and furniture away… • It seemed like a good time to introduce Trombley, our 34 year old dapper scarecrow. He looks good for his age, doesn’t he?!? He once had a crow on his head but it was lost years ago during one of our house moves. I keep waiting for a real one to land on him :) Trombley is a versatile scarecrow, someone you can dress up or down. Sometimes he’s decorated with hay or corn stalks, but this year we’re going for a minimalist look :) • Thank you, BikerBear for hosting our Flower Fridays! • It certainly feels like October today with mostly overcast skies and a biting wind. A few chores were done outside this morning but now mid-afternoon we’re hunkered in the house • The humane traps have arrived…
