How to see in the dark

Dont ask me I wouldnt know. But my camera does. After turning off the torch used for focusing I could see nothing , as in really nothing , in the viewfinder. So someone else took this shot.

For curiosity, take a look at yesterdays blip of exactly the same flower panicle. Only there was light then , as in light that I could see with. Today I couldn't see anything. At all.
