1931 My mother's first little handy craft job.

My Mother made this little sewing needle carrier when she was 14 years old in 1931 when she had just begun a dress making apprenticeship with a haute couture company in England. She finally ceased working when she was 70, is now 95 and hanging on to life by a fine thread.
This little momento means a lot to me. As I look at it, I can see her large, gentle hands, (which I have inherited, except for the finger nails) and can almost feel her touch.
