Little White Egret

It has been an unusual year for Little Egrets in Bushy Park. It is usual to see only one or two at any given time.Last Saturday there were no fewer than nine on the Leg of Mutton Pond. I see a few every day, there were five this morning. Being rather elusive birds it is tricky to get close enough to them to capture them on camera. However, today I managed to find a spot by the pond where either they could not see me, or they were not too bothered. They were still rather far away, but I managed to get a few reasonable shots. This is my favourite. They are delightfully elegant birds and fun to watch.
