beaucoup de planification pour arriver ici…
Appalling weather from Cambridge all the way to Folkstone but we still arrived at the almost empty Eurotunnel Terminal an hour early.
Light touch from UK Border Control but a more thorough checking of documents by the UK side French Border Control - all in order. The angst and planning paid off.
No petrol in SE England… but our full tank in Northumberland should get us to La Baie De Somme motorway services.
They let us on an earlier tunnel train, carriages almost empty just us and a few EU vehicles.
Onward to Northern France, the French Pyrenees and Sunny Espania.
All being well we should cross the border into Northern Spain at Jaca during the early hours of Sunday morning.

Update 6am Sunday on the flooded motorway near Le Mans:
Due to the very heavy and persistent rain in Northern France - we just pulled over and slept for 6 hours in a motorway service carpark.
We’ll cross into Spain sometime Sunday afternoon.
There is no rush…
15 months since our last trip to our second home on the Med, seems like a lifetime.
Onward.
