Leycesteria formosa

This tall, straggly 'Himalayan Honeysuckle' (Leycesteria formosa) appeared by our back door this year - presumably from a seed brought in by a bird - and has now flowered.

This picture was taken in a great hurry, under the shelter of an umbrella, in this afternoon's heavy rain - a large droplet of which can be seen on the tip of the flower.
