Not sure if this has anything to do with the following, but liberte, egalite, fraternite was just one of many slogans being used around the time of the French Revolution and only stuck much later. Was this one of the variants? (or is this the Ministry of Justice).

In an effort to educate myself on my surroundings, read an article in the Guardian on my general neighborhood and the comments were interesting - a heated debate about the value of regeneration versus 'real' communities. Well, hipster-haters, if random women (me) getting solicited by kerb crawlers while taking a stroll means the battle against gentrification hasn't been lost yet, then you can still happily come and visit.
