Night art- Lesley Anne Derks

Thank you all for your kind comments on yesterday Blip. Here is another portrait in Catherine King’s series of strong women currently on exhibition in the Glasgow Art Club.
 
It’s of artist Lesley Anne Derks famous for her paintings  of cities by night .  
 
 I have known and admired her work for many years. She manages to combine a very successful career as an artist with her job as a lecturer at Forth Valley College.
A graduate of Glasgow School of Art, Lesley is based in the industrial belt of central Scotland.
