Exploring

Today we paddled up Redwood Creek away from the harbour towards downtown Redwood City.  The main is underneath the 101 Freeway.  Hard to believe the ships used to go right into the centre of the town.  Like most cities around the bay, the waterfront is largely ignored, there's nowhere to disembark once you're in town, no welcoming waterside hostelries. We could have built Venice, but we ended up with this!
