Bendy beams!
Having coffee in the King's Arms, Abergavenny today (do blippers actually do anything else other than go to places and drink coffee?), I noticed how incredibly sagging the beams are - with big props in the centre. Well, the hostelry has been there since at least 1400 and is maybe the oldest coaching inn in Wales, so I suppose that's a long time during which a beam can sag. But I wonder what the floors of the rooms above are like! It's not like the place is getting wobbly - most certainly not, it's in the best of health! - just very very old, and full of character.
