Gathering and Scattering

Here are three of my four children plus their four Scottish cousins and a couple of partners. We had gathered in Pudsey on Friday to attend the funeral of their maternal grandfather, Les Bloom.

It was not an overly sad affair - rather a celebration of Les's life. He was well known by others who shared his passion for the Yorkshire Dales and there was a large turnout.

The Scots took the opportunity to scatter the ashes of their mother, Cath, who died last year, followed by their dad earlier this year. They are so young to have lost not only their grandparents but both parents as well. However they are a close-knit family and have each other as well as the support of their cousins and good friends.
