Strange where the colour happens

Spent a while on a detour to Crewe Business Park looking for a decent picture. Dull and colourless light (which has brightened up now I'm back indoors, naturally...) and everything looked seriously drab, till I looked down and saw the lichen on this twig which was lying by the path. Such a contrast to just about everything else!
