Over Optimistic

When I looked at the weather forecast for the day I was a little over optimistic. Yesterday's rain has stopped but I hoped for a bit more sunshine than we actually received. The sunflower in the extra is a late survivor supported and helped by the surrounding corn plants.

A walk around Castle Fraser and a visit to the walled garden. We found sufficient shelter to visit the shop to buy an ice cream which we consumed in the Castle courtyard.

Quite a selection of vegetables still growing in the walled garden, including some large pumpkins. The photograph (second extra) does not do their size justice.
