A hen pheasant visits the garden

Soon after Helena returned this afternoon, I spotted this hen pheasant wandering in our garden. I'd cleaned out the two bird feeders which had become clogged by all the relentless rain of the last few days. I threw the husks of the sunflower seeds on the ground for the birds, such as blackbirds and dunnocks, which can't fly up to the feeders. I hadn't expected a pheasant. This is the first I've seen in the garden before.

I've completed the back blips from our Scottish holiday, which started here on 21st August. I've added quite a few extras as well. Soon I hope to add more back blips to get up to date, again.
