When we left for our road trip in Ruby there was a hole where the garden wall had previous been . The house that adjoins ours is a rented property and John , the owner had decided that the garden walls needed replacing . As he didn’t share his plans with us it was a bit of a surprise to find the wall being taken down one morning.
John and his brother were very friendly and chatty so it was hard to be too cross about it and the replacement wall has been skilfully done . We weren’t sure what we would be coming back to so it’s a relief to find it skilfully laid . It is completely a5 odds with the rest of our boundary walls and as I am fussy about such things we will have to consider how best to make it blend in .
We had the pleasure of Arthur this afternoon as his mum had to put together a presentation for her job interview next week .
We were all pleased to be reunited ! His language has developed over his two week holiday and he is adding lots of extra detail into what he says . We took him over to see Ruby the motor home as we had some jobs to do and he was very happy to sit in the drivers seat and pretend to drive , simple pleasures . We only had him for a few hours but are now exhausted and need to sit down and recover by catching up on the 3 episodes of Strictly we missed . The Uk might be going down the train but we still have Strictly to keep us smiling !!!
