George Washington Carver Monument
The boyhood home of the famous inventor and agricultural scientist who taught farmers about crop rotation, along with growing peanuts and sweet potatoes to improve the quality of their own lives. In 1941, Time magazine dubbed Carver a "Black Leonardo".
After exploring this landmark we drove to Springfield, Missouri to eat at, "Karai Ramen and Roll", a Japanese restaurant specializing in authentic ramen dishes. Just great!
Felt really good to get out of the house to somewhere besides the office. I think a Saturday outing is going to be the new order of things around here!
