The Guest House at Sweet Haven

What a horrid, dank, cold, gray day!  It's done nothing but rain and be gloomy ever since we were foolish enough to wake up this morning.

This is a picture of Sweet Haven's guest house at low tide, taken from the deck at Portside.  I thought this would help illustrate why the town turns off the water for the winter season ... as you can see, the entire structure is built on pilings directly over the water.  No water pipe would be safe from the danger of freezing and bursting here!
