Chilly

It was pretty cold this morning when I woke up, but it was sunny, and I whacked the heating up so I could be toasty while I got ready.

Another busy day- so hard without my regular TA. PPA in the afternoon, but it takes P so long to do anything, I feel distracted before we've really done anything. I ate my soup and said 'yes' in the right places. 

I popped out at lunchtime to try to procure some petrol, but having tried three different local ones, I remain defeated. 

My lovely friend Hannah offered to drive tonight to our placement, even though it was my turn. I felt bad, but she'd been able to fill up, whereas I had 69 miles left.... 

I came home, did some chores, and had a snack and then she picked me up at 5:45pm. We had such a nice chat on the way there and back- I think it's my favourite part of the whole evening. 

She dropped me home about 9:40pm. My original plan was to jump straight in my car and try again to get petrol, but it was cold, so I went and had a bath and got ready for bed. Hannah messaged to say she thought my local one had some judging by the queue, so I deliberated before deciding to go about 10:40pm. I thought I'd have missed the boat, but I was actually quite excited to be 4th in the queue and lo and behold, I was able to get my £30! Persistence pays off, it would seem.

I was a bit wired, so had a cup of tea and a read of the news. I have to said I think I had missed a chunk of the Sarah Everard case- I didn't realised he had fake-arrested her, and I was quite shocked and so very sad. Truly horrific.
