Take-Off!

We had a walk to the Rising Sun Country Park again this morning, and popped our noses in at the little farm to see what was going on. By chance they were exercising some of the birds from the falconry when we arrived, so I had the chance to have some more practice at capturing birds in flight (we were lucky in that respect one day back in July too).

I certainly need more practice, as in about 200 shots I only got 3 or 4 half-decent ones (thank goodness for cameras with rapid fire!). My favourite is this one just taking off, but I've popped in an extra of it in landing mode too which looks quite dramatic - as if its jamming the anchors on!).

I think it's probably a hawk but I'm not very good on birds so I'm happy to be corrected.
