Our New Chapter Begins!

Another exciting day at FBC Pflugerville began with joining our spirits and our voices in worship to our Father God who has brought us to this place and time!  After the choir and orchestra presented a wonderful version of "Glorious Day" (of course, Dana and I sang along softly from the pew), Pastor Wes preached his first official sermon as our senior pastor.  Entitling it "The Gospel  Driven Church", he took it from the first two verses of Philippians and told us that Philippians was where we would be camping for some time.  He told us to remember who we are: Servants, Saints and Children of our God and Father,  He also told us to embrace what we have been given:  Grace that saves and empowers us and peace that protects and completes.  During the invitation time, we received some new members and at the end of the service, we recognized the children who had completed a special class for those who had made professions of faith.  It was a wonderful day to be in the company of other believers and very encouraging.  I'm glad that I was able to be there.  Were you there?
