The Long Way Round

For today's walk I thought I'd take Mrs C down to girder bridge and explore what lay beyond, despite a quite rain shower and double rainbow on the way. When we got to said bridge and considered walking over it, Arlo took a wee tester walk out on it, then turned around, EEEK!

Althought I had full confidence I could cross it without fallling in, I decided to lead Mrs C through the river and avoid any risk of vertigo or freak wind! Instead of heading to Edgelaw, which we were at a week or so ago, we looped south and past Redside Farm and Carrington Mill, back to where we started. It was a bit of a trek!
