As per this week's Mono Monday here's one of the first inventions of the 18th century (according to Wikipedia anyway). Bartolomeo Cristofori couldn't have guessed that his invention would be available without strings. This one is a digital Casio and I'm reliably informed has a very similar touch to an acoustic one.
