Covid update - for the last three days
29 new cases today. (Sunday 3rd, 33 new cases, Saturday 2nd, 27 new cases)
A total of 1357 community cases since the start of this outbreak
30 in hospital, with 5 in intensive care

   Parts of Waikato were moved to Alert Level 3 at 11.59pm on Sunday after reports of two positive Covid cases. This evening, Monday 4th, three more cases have been confirmed in Waikato.
   An unvaccinated truck driver tested positive for Covid and is now isolating in Palmerston North.
  A new born baby in an Auckland hospital has tested Covid positive after the baby was visited twice by their father before he tested positive on Sunday. 

Alert level updates today
Auckland remains at alert level 3, with several changes allowing more freedom with outdoor socialising.
Rest of NZ, other than Waikato, remain in Alert Level 2 with a minor adjustment lifting the 100-person-cap in hospitality venues.
Waikato remains in the ‘old’ Alert Level 3.
