Dahlias

Walking was hard going today, so I didn’t go far. I wanted to get as far as these dahlias which I had seen on a previous walk. For some reason I can’t grow dahlias, so it is always a pleasure to see them in someone else’s garden.
There are roadworks in our village so traffic, including buses, is being diverted up this residential road (not our road.). It is supposed to carry on for ten weeks! There seem to be roadworks everywhere at the moment.
