London Marathon 2021

We made the trip to London to cheer on my brother, Paul in his attempt on this epic run. Its my first time (as a spectator) and it truly is a terrific atmosphere. As it turned out, our support proved to be a pivotal element (we like to think) in his 2h 50 mins supreme effort. He was a bit done in afterwards and even sounded a shade disappointed with his time - though he did have to stop twice with cramp, and once to be sick - on a policeman's shoe. Paul asked the said officer to please arrest him, he just said, 'sorry son, your going to have to finish! :-))
Great day culminated in a convivial celebration with the hero of the hour, in the Sherlock Holmes pub, Northumberland Avenue.
