Down to the Iron Road
I am ready now to venture into Birmingham to attempt a little photography for the first time since the start of 2020. This necessitates a whole new experience travelling from a place where trains have not been a part of live for me! And there are more choices than previously! It depends which station in Birmingham i want to go to and where there is possible parking or where my resident chauffeur would find it easiest to collect me from! Oh the choices! Anyway, it looks like I am going to try a little station in the countryside, a request only stop with a fair walk down (and down!) from the closest bit of road. Or I still might try the other one with a tiny car park, but all on one level. I understand I have to wave at the train to make it stop on the way in and then on the way out I have to find the conductor if there is one to indicate where I want to get off! If that doesn't work, I end up in Stratford upon Avon...
Will let you know how I get on on Wednesday.
This shot is of the steps down to the platform! The extra is the actual platform so you can envision me waving to the train!
