Diary of an Edinburgher

Archie meets an old friend

Today I (sort of) started a new fitness regime. I did TWO HIIT sessions on the bike, which fair tired me out, but I also pressed on with a ‘relaxing’ yoga lesson. The trainer’s chit chat makes me giggle.

"Notice that you’re here, and that you have feet on the floor… And that you have strength to stand…” I can’t take it seriously.

I then did my phone physio floor exercises. The second lot she sent me involved standing on my toes for 10 seconds. Repeat X 3. I think my aches are going to more difficult to sort than this. Perhaps when I get to see an actual physiotherapist…

I also (sort of) started my diet. Today I had no scones, cakes, Magnums or chocolate, so that’s a good start.

I took Archie up to the graveyard to make me go out for a walk and get away from the tempting things in the fridge and kitchen cupboards. He pulls me the whole way - he loves it there.

In the afternoon we all walked to Waitrose, JR was picking up a new must have wee item recommended by Hazel. I took the bus home, but the others walked.

And who should they meet in the Links, but Jordan, Archie’s erstwhile walker until he became too busy being a new dad. Apparently he’s to become even busier soon. I always look out for them on the Links, as they live nearby.

Another delicious bowl of goodies this evening from Hazel’s detox recipes.
