Invention

In 1790 a cabinet maker named Thomas Saint detailed and designed the very first sewing machine. His sewing machine invention was powered by a hand crank and used for sewing canvas and leather.
The Singer in my blip belonged to my mother and I inherited it and used it to make dresses for my girls when they were small. It now lies unused but not unloved in the bottom of a wardrobe. I could never part with it.
