Raging Bull

It will be 6 weeks tomorrow since our wedding and I’ve only just got the rest of our photos from Steve.

He seemed reluctant to give me the memory card but when he did, he said he had to confess that he’s had a problem and as a result, most of the photos he took (after our other photographer left) were pretty much ruined.

Given that our other photos weren’t that great, we were pinning our hopes on Steve to have taken some better ones, so disappointed is an understatement.

Steve said he couldn’t figure out why halfway through the day, the ISO changed to 26500!! So all the photos from that point on are super grainy. I’ve googled help but evidently the ISO is the one thing that can’t be edited post processing. Plus, despite us saying not to, he shot everything in RAW.

Part of me didn’t want to look, but I started scrolling though and found the photo which is todays blip.
The lightbulb instantly pinged on and the red mist descended as I remembered Mr A’s brother fooling around with the camera when Steve went to the bar. He obviously knocked something on the camera which changed the ISO and managed to ruin what would have been some fantastic photos. There were 435 on the card; I’ve got about 15 decent ones. I was/am raging!

While I agree that Steve should have checked the images/settings etc, he hadn’t expected someone to be larking about with his camera.

Of course I’ve let Steve know what (or who) happened to his camera, so he’s relieved he wasn’t going mad with the ISO settings, but still upset he’s not been able to give us the photos we wanted.

I’ve been told not to tell Mark he ruined our photos, as he’s only just back from his honeymoon, but he will be getting told at some point.

If any of you lovely blippers have any suggestions on where I can find a hitman how I can reduce noise on the photos, it would be very much appreciated :-)

DQ x
