MonoMonday - MM402 - 18th Century Invention
Shower was invented by William Fleetham, a stove maker, in 1767.
Mechanical hand pump to move water above head to vessel then chain pulled to release water over body.
At least now the water is clean & at an adjustable temperature. A choice of 2 heads, one as a stand under & another hand moveable for use in the bath & ease of cleaning bath.
Remembering those rubber shower connectors that went over the bath taps which used as a kid. They didn't stay on very well & not used as much as the could have. It was many years before the family home had an electric shower & now my one is heated by gas boiler.
