A walk in the woods , peaty waters gushing and splashing their way to join the River Darwen .
Prior to this morning’s walk we dropped textiles off to be recycled , bags of unneeded goods at the Charity shop including 2 bar stools which despite really liking them we have never used plus returning the one wellington boot left behind yesterday when we returned Arthur to his parents . He is with his other grandparents today and tomorrow, they said they would have an indoor day today but two days on the trot is asking a lot of our active little chap .
Veg soup for lunch and then an afternoon of tackling the small bedroom / dumping ground . Our son is coming to stay in a fortnight and as they have just managed to get their daughter to sleep through they might appreciate having separate rooms .
Our children took a long time to sleep through and I often felt it was because we were lacking something as parents. Having seen the sensitive and thoughtful way that both our kids and the partners parent I can see that the poor sleeping is a family tradition.
Now for today’s big decision, which music shall I play while I sort ?
