What an awful day. 9C wet and windy.
However we have spent a lovely afternoon visiting a dear friend.
Homemade cherry scones and a cuppa really hit the spot.
We had a good catchup and two hours passed very quickly.
A moved into a new flat a few months ago and has done wonders with the garden already. She was lucky to have an old apple tree already in the garden, and we came home with a bag if cooking apples.
She had also planted some flower seeds in Spring. Special varieties suitable for cutting, so as we were leaving she braved the weather to cut me a bunch.
Nigella ( love-in-a-mist) gypsophila and zinnias.
Beautiful. They look so pretty and dainty. Had to be my Blip for today.

Fingers crossed for a better day tomorrow as we have somewhere planned.
