I was in Saffron Walden this morning, waiting to see the optician, when I read a post on the Linton Community Facebook page saying that a large tree was blocking the bridge by the churchyard. I instantly knew that it was going to be one of ours and my fears were later confirmed. I sent photos to D who was in London for the day and he organised the tree surgeon to come on Thursday. I couldn’t get close enough to see how much damage has been done to the bridge.
In better news, Alfie has found a university that does a course that he would like to do next year and Poppy has been accepted at John Lewis as a Christmas temp.
