Pierce and the canal

So today has been an eventful day. I took Charlie to the vets for his monthly injection for arthritis and as he is so much better after his limping from last week we took him for a canal walk. I met B at Preston Bagot and we walked along the canal with the two dogs. They were having a nice time doing the usual running around and sniffing at all the interesting places along the way. We met a guy with another border collie and stopped for a bit of a chat. All was going well, he patted Charlie and said he had another collie dog that looked very similar. Then suddenly his collie and Pierce must have decided they didn’t like each other. His dog growled and then they had a bit of a tiff and Pierce somehow ended up in the canal. Luckily B reacted really quickly and managed to grab him by his harness and haul him out. He was soaking wet. An unexpected adventure but luckily it turned out ok. We are back home now and the dogs have had supper and now snoozing after all the activity.
