A beautiful day
Scotland trip day 7 Applecross.
This morning we took to the road again, our first stop was to take in the beautiful views over Loch Torridon, a sea Loch created by glacial processes and it is 15 miles long.
We carry on towards Applecross via the Bealach Na Ba ( pass of cattle ) at 2054ft it is one of the classic drives and cycle pistes of the Highlands with a 1:5 gradients and switch backs worthy of the alps.
Views back across the Minch to Raasay and Skye more than compensates,( weather permitting).
We finally arrive in Applecross where we take a wander along the seafront passing some lovely white cottages.
We decide to take the coastal road back admiring the patterns in the sand made by the receding tide.
A few miles further on we came across a family of Highland coos.
We carry on and finally arrive back at the caravan. Tired but happy.
