Palm graffiti
We had a lovely day at Kew Gardens today, although it was bitterly cold and not much evidence of Spring. We spent a lot of the time in the large glasshouses and in the Palm House I spotted a large palm tree in a pot where the bark had been cut into over the years by individuals carving their initials. Although I wonder why people do this, I did think the abstract patterns now remaining were really striking.
