Yet more Hoy Hills

After a quick visit to the Hoy Hills it was time to say bon voyage to Roberto and Madeline; things didn’t go well.  Their car wouldn’t start.  New battery, engine turning over very well.  It was obvious fuel wasn’t getting through but we couldn’t find any manual primer to get the flow through.  I called in a favour and a tip-top mechanic arrived from Kirkwall.  He couldn’t get it going.  Diagnostics indicate that the engine electronics has somehow locked off a switch that controls fuel flow.

Said bipeds will depart for their Forres HQ on the 06.30 hrs ferry the morn as foot passengers and then get on the X99 bus to Inverness.  The car will be recovered and shipped down to Perth (don’t ask).

Armand and Michaela Denis were not available for comment – obviously.
