Spotted Today In The Grünewald

Many things were seen but the above items made me think of Halloween . I found the  wasps nest on the ground .From one angle it looked  like the rear of the skull  and from the other side , a skeleton's 'face".The shiny black beetle was perfect  to see. Wouldn't you know the  the bus came.No waiting for the next one since in the week they are every hour ! .Most going through the forest travel on bikes :Wasps certainly work wonders and how does this beetle stay so shiny ?
