Cooler days

This morning was distinctly cooler again, Autumn’s advancing. The bedroom was 21°, and the lounge probably colder. However, very pleasant to find the enclosed balcony warm in the sun, so took advantage to sit there a while.

Our wonderful postie delivered my ‘fiddle leaf’ plant today, in perfect condition. Have been lusting after one for a while. The very tall ones can be hugely expensive, but mine is ‘affordable’. Hope it thrives in its new home.

Mr B returned from tennis, made me a cucumber salad. Then we walked up to the Savoy for a drink.

‘E’ upstairs asked Mr B to show him how to make Schnitzel (to be accurate Scallopina Milanese), one of his signature dishes. So we went upstairs and also enjoyed a bottle of rosé with him, before returning to make our own dinner (stir-fry for me).
