Greater Roadrunner II

I went back to the parking lot of the governmental center where I spotted the roadrunners several days ago. I had an inkling of where they had set up their home.  So I watched an waited.  Sure enough, the wait was worth it. This one scooted through the parking lot and hopped onto the sidewalk. I was glad it gave me an opportunity to take a photo.

This one was adorable to watch. It's looking up to find a squawking bird which appeared to startle it.  I think roadrunners are adorable.  I see them frequently. I don't get many photos, though, for two reasons:
1.  You have to be completely camera ready and
2.  They are faster than all get-out, reaching speeds up to 20mph/32kph

All caught up. Finally. That will last for about a day  :-)
